new friend,

Once upon a time I felt like a wellness revolutionist, and I ached to free women from the bondage of body shame and food confusion. That impetus for change hasn’t gone anywhere, but it’s shifted from an ache to a joyful passion, and the goal of the book to share the steps that make up this nourishing revolution in an easily accessible way.

Contained within the pages of this book are exercises, journal entries and memories from my own journey, recipes, and, admittedly, a few dad jokes (my sister always tells me I'll be a great dad some day).

I can't wait to have this manifesto out of my hands and into your's.

xo Brittany

Brittany’s insight and way of connecting with and describing her journey has been extremely helpful to me. Her story resonated very deeply as I have struggled with disordered eating and still have days that are challenging.

“I’m not crazy. I’m not broken. And since I’m not dead yet, I’m succeeding.” -Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Manifesto

These words are gold – the raw honesty and humor strikes right to my core and makes me laugh out loud and look for the sun.

Working through the steps and accessing my inner Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Mode is a way to focus on who I am and get out of my head and into life. Life is grounding and gorgeous and just out there waiting for us to play for the day, even if we do forget sometimes!

What you will learn...

The 10 steps I use in my one on one work with women, distilled into 10 chapters that offer insight into my experience, client case studies, and workbook exercises. The format of this manifesto helps you to implement the philosophies presented in your own life.

The framework I teach my clients that moves you from Fed Up to Well Fed in your body, food, and life. Practical tools and philosophies to take with you into every single day.

Simple recipes to begin incorporating new foods and new techniques in the kitchen.

How to move past the voices of shame, the cycle of dieting, self loathing, under and over exercising, and food confusion.

Speaking of food confusion... I delve into topics like juicing vs. smoothies, organic vs. non-organic, going grain free, gluten, soy, animal vs. dairy protein, fats, carbohydrates, and more—providing you with a well-rounded education and empowering you to make informed choices.

How to ditch dieting and emotional eating.

Who is this book for?

This book was written for you, dear friend.

I knew I wanted to help others uncover what I’d found deep within myself, and sharing my personal experience felt like the most authentic, truthful avenue.

It became very important for me to define:

How DID I get here?

Truth be told, one day I was just so. very. done. I was so done that I decided I was willing to do anything to stop feeling the doneness. I’d cycled repeatedly in and out of food confusion and body shame, thinking I’d kicked it only to have it rear its insidiously disgusting head once again.

You might be here reading these words because you, too, are done. You’re done with dieting, feeling awful in your body, and feeling intensely confused about food.  You want to move effortlessly through your days and have a deep connection and knowing of the vitality housed within you—the vitality that leads you to take risks and reap huge rewards. The very vitality that pushes you beyond your comfort zone and into the great unknown, where effervescence, gusto for life, and your purpose here on this planet are richly felt and enjoyed.

Hell, maybe it boils down to the universal desire to go to the beach without agonizing over your bikini body and wanting to feel the way you imagine you do when you are at your “ideal” weight, but you’re SICK of diets that don’t work (or you’re sick of diets that do work but only for 30 days and then when it’s over you’re right back where you started).

How can you feel the way you want to feel without dieting?

I swear, hand to god, that you don’t have to go hungry, exercise all day long, or drink only green juice. In fact, I am a firm believer that diet culture and diets in general are gateway behaviors toward an eating disorder. I promise to you here and now, new friend (and friends. don’t. lie.), that not once in this book will I tell you what to eat, what not to eat, or that any foods are off limits.

With this simple (note: simple doesn’t always mean easy) ten step process, I offer you a roadmap to move from stuck and uncomfortable into Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Mode, and you will be able to use what you learn in this process every day for the rest of your life.

The Trifecta of...

A full yoga sequence along with detailed instructions and photos to help you begin an at home practice. Not to mention what "yoga off the mat" means and how yoga is about so much more than the physical practice.
