I knew I wanted to help others uncover what I’d found deep within myself, and sharing my personal experience felt like the most authentic, truthful avenue.

How DID I get here?
Truth be told, one day I was just so. very. done. I was so done that I decided I was willing to do anything to stop feeling the doneness. I’d cycled repeatedly in and out of food confusion and body shame, thinking I’d kicked it only to have it rear its insidiously disgusting head once again.
You might be here reading these words because you, too, are done. You’re done with dieting, feeling awful in your body, and feeling intensely confused about food. You want to move effortlessly through your days and have a deep connection and knowing of the vitality housed within you—the vitality that leads you to take risks and reap huge rewards. The very vitality that pushes you beyond your comfort zone and into the great unknown, where effervescence, gusto for life, and your purpose here on this planet are richly felt and enjoyed.
Hell, maybe it boils down to the universal desire to go to the beach without agonizing over your bikini body and wanting to feel the way you imagine you do when you are at your “ideal” weight, but you’re SICK of diets that don’t work (or you’re sick of diets that do work but only for 30 days and then when it’s over you’re right back where you started).
How can you feel the way you want to feel without dieting?
I swear, hand to god, that you don’t have to go hungry, exercise all day long, or drink only green juice. In fact, I am a firm believer that diet culture and diets in general are gateway behaviors toward an eating disorder. I promise to you here and now, new friend (and friends. don’t. lie.), that not once in this book will I tell you what to eat, what not to eat, or that any foods are off limits.
With this simple (note: simple doesn’t always mean easy) ten step process, I offer you a roadmap to move from stuck and uncomfortable into Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Mode, and you will be able to use what you learn in this process every day for the rest of your life.

About the Author
Brittany Lynn Kriger lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she enjoys the warm blanket of humidity that envelops her for most of the year as well as the mild winters with only a few wretched frigid days that remind her why she didn’t last in the cold northlands. She is the owner and founder of The Soul Food Project, which is devoted to the power of a positive relationship with food and body. Through workshops, yoga, one on one coaching, speaking, and now a book (hell yeah!), Brittany is passionate about spreading the mantra: "Love the food you eat. Live the life you love. Ditch guilt and regret," and she is here to lead anyone who cares to join her to a joyous and free relationship to food and body.
Brittany is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher with training based in the lineage and teachings of Krishnamacharya. This lineage is a therapeutic approach to yoga that integrates the ancient teachings in a modern day application specific to the individual. In Brittany's classes, you are led to find the posture in your body rather than imposing some picture perfect expression photographed and put in a magazine. In addition, Brittany is a certified health and integrative nutrition coach. She studied with ground breaking pioneers in the field of nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is accredited by Columbia University’s Teachers College and by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
