I'm Brittany

I'm an anti-diet health coach, and I help women love their bodies and their lives while not obsessing about the food they eat. I don't believe in dieting, restriction, or cruel regimes around food, body, and life. I know it's possible to love the food I'm eating and enjoy the body I'm living in while also experiencing the full range of the human experience. Life (and food) are meant to be FULLY lived. Keeping happiness at the heart of healthFULLness is key.

This dish features all produce straight from the farmer's hands that morning (with the exception of the lemon and garlic). [Fed Up Fellowship was full of] so much good information—It got me thinking about habits that I do without thinking—whether they be about food or not. I was so much more aware of how I was moving through life, and much more aware of the habits that I want to cultivate, and the ones that I want to change.

This is an awesome resource for women with hard relationships with their bodies or food. This is a Godsend.

I went in being like… I don’t know how to cook at home and was wanting to find healthier ways to snack and eat—my schedule is crazy and I was eating snacks that were like children’s snacks! I realized... I have access to all of the things I need, in my kitchen RIGHT NOW, but I’d never thought to put them together in the way Brittany presented them. Options! There was so much freedom! And there were so many great ideas to jump off from. I know now I’m eating much more healthfully, but more importantly, in a way that makes me happier because it’s how I WANT to be eating.

Brittany Lynn Kriger, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, CHHC, AADP, RYT 200

Brittany Lynn Kriger lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she enjoys the warm blanket of humidity that envelops her for most of the year as well as the mild winters with only a few wretched frigid days that remind her why she didn’t last in the cold northlands. She is the owner and founder of The Soul Food Project, which is devoted to the power of a positive relationship with food and body. Through workshops, yoga, one on one coaching, speaking, and now a book (hell yeah!), Brittany is passionate about spreading the mantra: "Love the food you eat. Live the life you love. Ditch guilt and regret," and she is here to lead anyone who cares to join her to a joyous and free relationship to food and body.

Brittany is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher with training based in the lineage and teachings of Krishnamacharya.  This lineage is a therapeutic approach to yoga that integrates the ancient teachings in a modern day application specific to the individual. In Brittany's classes, you are led to find the posture in your body rather than imposing some picture perfect expression photographed and put in a magazine. In addition, Brittany is a certified health and integrative nutrition coach. She studied with ground breaking pioneers in the field of nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is accredited by Columbia University’s Teachers College and by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
